Beware of the Scam lurking on your devices
‘Get rich quick’ schemes
Beware of schemes that offer unrealistic returns at low risk, especially from unverified sources. Always consult a financial advisor before making any investment.
‘Get to know you’ scams
You may receive an email/text/whatsapp message from a fraudster interested in a relationship. Never divulge personal information no matter how convincing they may seem.
Don’t get hooked by click bait
Our digital world throws up myriad possibilities for fraudsters to send you links. These may contain malicious code, viruses or make you download harmful apps. Avoid these at all costs!
Beware of influencers
Scammers often use celebrities and popular influencers to lure you in. Choose only registered, reputable and verified platforms/apps from verified people/sources.
Avoid last minute offer
Scams can masquerade as ‘limited-time offers’. Never make a hasty decision or be pressured into making an investment. Consult a financial advisor before any investment.
Beware of AI investing
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the buzzword today, but remember that it cannot replace your financial advisor and AI-based recommendations may not consider your risk appetite, long-term goals, etc.
