THREE THINGS TO CONQUER TO BECOME A GOOD INVESTOR

There are 3 emotions, which when understood and conquered, helps one to become a good investor. Here are they:

1. Intuition

  • Research/ information on asset classes, their characteristics, trends help one become a better investor than depending on luck/ intuition

2. Greed

  • At the top of bull markets, greed may override some investors’ decisions
  • Remember that market is volatile and there are bear markets also along with bull markets. More wealth is lost when greed overtakes you, than in any other periods

3. Fear

  • When the investor is fearful about losing capital, allocations may go towards asset classes that don’t beat inflation
  • Fear also may force the investors to sell in losses

Goal Based Investing and Systematic Investment Plans (SIP) helps in managing emotions while investing.

Invest wisely, stay healthy, stay invested, stay profitable
