India Investment Marathon is an exclusive, by-invite event for the crème-de-la-crème financial advisors, distributors and professional clients in India. The event promises to throw spotlight on global and local trends in the world of investments and cutting edge insights on the investor psyche from our expert panel of global investment specialists and distinguished leaders from the industry.
Why is it called a marathon? - The event consists of back to back sessions lined up on core topics of special economic interest and concerns to the Indian Asset Management industry leading to a stimulating conversation.
India Investment Marathon is scheduled to be conducted on second Friday of January every year and is a platform to network and interact with the who’s who of the industry and increase the social sphere.

Director and Senior Product Specialist, Fixed Income

Geoffrey Lunt is responsible for promoting HSBC’s Asian fixed income capability globally. Before taking up his current position in Hong Kong in July 2011, he managed global bond portfolios for HSBC in London.
Geoffrey has been working in the industry since 1992. Prior to joining HSBC in 2003, he worked as a fund manager at Investec Asset Management where he managed bond funds for insurance companies and UK local authorities. Previously he was a director of Plough Court Fund Management.
Geoffrey holds a degree in Classics from the University of London.
Joseph Little

Joseph joined HSBC’s Asset Management business in 2007. He is currently Chief Global Strategist, responsible for leading our work on macroeconomic and multi-asset research, and for developing the house investment strategy view. He was previously Chief Strategist for Strategic Asset Allocation and a Portfolio Manager on HSBC’s absolute return Global Macro fund, working on Tactical Asset Allocation. Prior to joining HSBC, he worked as a Global Economist for JP Morgan Cazenove. Joseph holds an MSc in Economics from Warwick University and is a CFA charterholder.
Pedro Bastos

Pedro joined HSBC in October 2006 as CEO of HSBC Asset Management Brazil and in 2010 accumulated the Regional Head of AMG role for Latin America. In June 2014 he moved to Hong Kong to become CEO of HSBC Global Asset Management and Regional Head of Asia Pacific HSBC Global Asset Management. He is an Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, Corporate Advisors Council member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, Asset Management Group Steering Committee member of the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets.
In Brazil he was an active member of number of industry organisations such as: Board Member of the Financial Industry Association of Brazil (ANBIMA); Founder and Board Member of the Minority Investors Association (AMEC); and CEO of BRAiN – Brazil Investments and Business, a think tank created to help develop the local business and capital markets environment and promote São Paulo as a Business and Financial Center.
Before joining HSBC, Pedro worked at one of the leading banks in the Brazilian Capital Markets. He held various positions such as Head of Research, Head of Equity Brokerage and Distribution and finally responsible for equities, hedge funds and credit analysis at the bank’s asset management division.
He started his career at First Trust Company, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he spent nine years as a securities analyst and assistant portfolio manager.
Pedro graduated from Hamline University (1986) with a B.A. and Major in Business and has an MBA with concentration in Finance from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota (1991).
Ravi Menon

Ravi Menon is Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Global Asset Management, India. He is also a member of the HSBC Asset Management Asia Pacific Executive Committee which steers HSBC's asset management business in the region. He joined HSBC Group in June 1998 and has held various leadership positions across the HSBC Group. He was previously a Member of the HSBC Bank India Executive Committee and Head Strategy & Planning. His earlier experience included being Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Specialist Investments, Managing Director & Co- Head Investment Banking, HSBC Securities & Capital Markets India.
Tushar Pradhan

Tushar has over 20 years of experience in various roles through his career. He is an MBA in Investment Finance, having graduated from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA in 1992. Prior to joining HSBC Global Asset Management, India in June 2009, Tushar has also worked in international positions in the United States for a couple of years before returning to India. In India he has worked with HDFC Asset Management and more recently with AIG Global Asset Management in senior asset management roles.
Pranjul Bhandari

Chief India Economist, HSBC
Pranjul Bhandari is the Chief India Economist at HSBC Securities & Capital Markets (India) Private Limited. She is responsible for developing the firm's position on macroeconomics and public policy in India, leading the firm's economics research franchise from Mumbai. Pranjul is part of the Research team based in Mumbai.
Prior to joining HSBC, Pranjul completed a resident fellowship at the IMF in Washington DC after graduating as a Mason Fellow from the Harvard Kennedy School. Previously, she worked at India's Ministry of Finance with the Chief Economic Advisor and at the Planning Commission with the Deputy Chairman. She has held roles as an economist covering Asian markets at Goldman Sachs and at UK's Department for International Development. Pranjul also holds a Master's in Economics from the University of Cambridge, UK and a BA in Economics from St.Stephen's College, New Delhi.
Sandra Carlisle

Sandra Carlisle
Sandra Carlisle is Head of Responsible Investment Product Specialists within HSBC Global Asset Management in London and has been working in the financial industry since 1986. Prior to joining HSBC in 2017, Sandra worked as Head of Responsible Investment for Newton Investment Management. Prior to this, Sandra worked at F&C Investments and Citi, where she set up and ran the sustainable and responsible investment team in global markets and the European equity sales team respectively. Sandra has an M.A. from the University of Oxford. She is a recognized industry spokesperson, a former board member of the Principles for Responsible Investment and a visiting business fellow at the Oxford Smith School for the Environment.
